POCKET ROCKET: The best Hasbulla memes

Who is Hasbulla? Why are Hasbulla memes so funny? What’s up with Hasbulla’s laugh? Is he actually a revered MMA warrior, or more a kind of tragi-comic UFC mascot?
Hasbulla is that cheeky little dude you’ll have seen popping up all over the internet. He’s famous for a few reasons – but mostly because he’s a close friend of legendary MMA champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Hasbulla – full name Hasbulla Magomedov – grew up in the same Russian town as Nurmagomedov. He first rose to prominence on everybody’s radar as part of the champ’s entourage during televised UFC events.
His small stature – around three feet, four inches – is because of a birth defect known as Growth Hormone Deficiency (GHD), more commonly referred to as dwarfism.
HASBULLA HEIGHT
Interestingly, Lionel Messi had exactly the same condition as Hasbulla growing up. Like Hasbulla’s family, Messi’s folks were unable afford the $1,000 per month injections required to overcome the condition.
However, in Messi’s case, his club FC Barcelona decided to generously foot the bill for treatment. Perhaps Hasbulla should’ve taken up the beautiful game instead.

In any case, Hasbulla has turned his disability into a phenomenal asset, earning a bunch of endorsements, paid tours, and even a five year contract with the UFC.
CAN HASBULLA ACTUALLY FIGHT?
Well, no. Obviously not. He’s pretty much a toddler.
That doesn’t stop him squaring up to everybody from YouTuber Adam Seleh, Brazilian heavyweight Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira and even, this week, Mike fricking Tyson.
Hasbulla also has a very public ongoing beef with fellow short-person Abdu Roziq, a Tajikistani singer and social media star who suffered from rickets as a child.

Chechen MMA fighter Asxab Tamaev has been unashamedly stirring the pot, hinting at a colossal Pay-Per-View windfall for everybody should the two pint-sized pugilists ever decide to settle their differences in the ring.
In fairness, Hasbulla’s mate Nurmagomedov is dead against the fight. ‘I don’t support this idea’, he said in an interview with Red Corner MMA. ‘We have enough fighting in the world. Peace is better than war.’
Speaking of fighting in this world, the Russian Dwarf Athletic Association (RDAA) has given short shrift to plans for any future Hasbulla/Tamaev fight, arguing ‘it’s a show to make people laugh… this isn’t sport’.

Anyway, Hasbulla’s dad apparently hates the idea of them fighting too.
HASBULLA STYLE
Hasbulla certainly has a knack for looking iconic. He recently dropped $30k on sneakers, and is frequently pictured revving up supercars, although how he reaches the pedals is anybody’s guess.
No wonder he’s so-far racked up 8 million Instagram followers.

Of course, you don’t get to 8 million followers without making one or two enemies. And Hasbulla’s carefully-cultivated public persona – sort of a chippy knife-wielding dwarf man – has done him no favours with his fellow stars.
Conor MacGregor recently tweeted how he’d ‘…love to boot that little gimp Hasbulla over a goal post.’
Which is a bit severe, probably.
HASBULLA RELIGION
Hasbulla is a practicing Muslim, who recently attended the umrah pilgrimage in Mecca. He’s so devout he’s often spotted wearing a ‘taqiyah’ skullcap, and says he’d love to one day become an ‘alim’, or theologian.
His religious views attracted controversy recently, after it was revealed he’d banned women from taking selfies with him on a recent tour of Australia.

Among his other ambitions, Hasbulla has indicated he’d love to one day become the Minister of Internal Affairs back home in Dagestan.
Mostly, to be clear, so he can ride around in a convoy all day and crush his enemies.
Wealth and status aren’t all they’re cracked up to be though, according to some recent utterances from the 20-year-old meme legend.

‘I want my closest friends to be normal people,’ he said in a recent video.
‘A few good close friends, that’s enough for me. Because lately they are after my money. Everyone is asking for money. That’s why I want that.
‘I’m on a spending spree. When I go somewhere for example to Dubai or somewhere else. When I’m back, suddenly everyone comes at me ‘bro, bro…’’
Still, never one to let life bring him down, this down-to-earth star can expect to continue his lucrative relationship with the UFC, and hopefully make even more friends online.

Hey, IS STEALING MEMES ILLEGAL?
While we’re here, does anybody know IS IT PRONOUNCED GIF OR JIF?
